Personal Statement

My name is Branden Randall and I run cross country and track for Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Eastvale, California.  Both my junior and senior year I have been the team captain and gone to CIF State for cross country. Last year I finished tenth in state and this year, at footlocker west regional in the seeded race, I finished 12th of the west coast for cross country. Right now I am training for my final track season with high expectations and great goals for both the 1600 and 800. I run other events as well, including the 3200; the 1600 and 800 are my favorite events to compete in. Aside from running, I have been recognized for my leadership qualities by the Track Town Olympic Trails Leadership camp in 2012. This camp was offered to the entire nation, however out of everyone who had applied for the camp, only 24 people were selected to go. With my past experiences I believe that I will bring many positive attributes and success to any team I am a part of.
Now, for my goals in college, I want to work to be one of the fastest runners in the nation and potentially go to the Olympic trails to compete. Academically, I want to major in Business finance. I believe that college is not a time to party or constantly waste time, but rather a time to grow, learn and expand in as many areas as possible. I am looking forward to my college career and I am eager to start training at a college level!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
