Personal Statement

My name is Tyler Kaan. I am a Track and Field/ Cross Country Athlete, aspiring to better myself in the classroom and on the track. I have been running since my freshman year of high school, and the experiences and character I have gained through running are irreplaceable. I am looking to further pursue running at the collegiate level, and simultaneously earn a degree. I can outwork most other athletes in the field, and out-study most other students the classroom.

I have a deep passion for bettering myself not only as a runner, but as an individual as well. I love the attitude of determination and tenacity I have gained from running. This is an attitude I exercise not only as an athlete but as a student as well. I'd be happy to be a part of any program that will help me better myself as a runner and as a person. Thanks!
