We as humans are motivated on whatever we find satisfying mentally and physically. I have found pain satisfying while running. Knowing that I am giving my all makes me proud and gets me first place on the track and on the course. This also works for a team of course. I always wanted to be on a team sport and I finally got my chance on the Cross Country team. It really makes a difference when you have multiple people that soon become family. Teamwork always changes the mood because everyone gets motivated. Winning motivates me to work with what I have and expand on all possibilities. It teaches discipline to those that need it and creates commitment to those that receive it.
I began running competitively for 5 years now and the one thought that runs through my mind is winning. Everyone enjoys a win but It means much more to me. It has taught me discipline when I do not win and that discipline moved me to push harder and reach my speed. A team creates more discipline within itself which turns into motive.
Seeing a human body move so fast while keeping a perfect form motivated me to run. Track and Field is my favorite sport because it shows who can really push the limits of the human body. I have committed myself to running because of the rush while doing so. The feeling that every runner feels as soon as the shoes come on.
