Personal Statement
I began competing in triathlons while in middle school and quickly realized that running was my strongest event by far. Since entering high school I have focused completely on running and getting stronger. I have been a varsity runner in both cross country and track since my freshman year, with numerous team and individual league championships. My goal is to compete at the highest college level and be a key part of that team winning a national championship. I plan on earning my degree in sports medicine/physical therapy. I work hard everyday to improve and know I will make huge strides when I become part of a college team. I am extremely coachable and can't get enough of the sport. I am called upon to race everything from the 400m to 3200m on a regular basis in high school and can go longer if needed for a college team. Most high school graduates go to Hawaii or Mexico for their senior trip, but I will be going to watch the Olympic Trials in Oregon for mine next year!
