Personal Statement

Pole Vaulting spoke to me when I tried out for it freshman year, I knew that this is what I wanted to do the rest of my life.  Taking 5th place at Sections for my school so far has been the highlight of my High School career.  I learned through Vaulting that I am a natural leader and that I have the utmost perseverance to accomplish my goal.  I plan to be clearing 17 ft by the end of my High School career and I don't plan on stopping there.  Straight A's is what I want to maintain throughout my High School and College career.  I've had to overcome obstacles and the major one was to get inverted, this took mental perseverance to break what I thought I was doing and to change everything I knew to make myself a better athlete.  Aside from being an athlete, I am an older brother, I know what leadership is an I clearly demonstrate the qualities of a leader.  Although I am not the oldest Vaulter at my school, my skills exceed those who are, and my attitude reflects that.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
