I started running in my freshman year of high school, as I had broken my clavicle early in the varsity football season. I needed an outlet for energy, and joined the cross country team. I have since come to love running (specifically long distance track), and am hoping to compete at the college level, if not further. I primarily run the 3200m and 1600m, but also have competed in the 800m, 4x400m relay, 300m hurdles, discus, and triple jump. Being one of the more advanced members of the track team, I lead my team in everyday practices, encouraging my teammates to push through the pain and difficulty of training. I am very respectful and coachable, and have a determination to become a stronger runner.
