Personal Statement

Hello. I am Bryan Tran. I am an athlete for cross country and track at Rosemead HS, CA. I am a sophomore on 2023-2024. To start with, colleges. I am willing to be in the UC system or any university out of state that offers a law degree. For athletics, I prefer being in Division 1 or 2, to have scholarships. My main events for track are 400 dash, 300IH, 1600 run, and 60 hurdles. Goals I have are to achieve a proficient time for the races to compete in high school and college meets. In college, I may also be interested being in steeplechase and relays. To achieve this, I will train every day for two hours afterschool on the track and run outside the streets. Being in collegiate benefits the college team by being responsible for the team meets, and help achieve a record for the school. Things that make me different from other recruits include being diligent and hardworking with high academics by being studious. For example, I am willing to handle 5 advanced classes in my schedule with these sports in my schedule, having a 3.7+ GPA, studying every night, and train for these sports in the evenings. For me being in the collegiate, I will be very responsible for daily practices and showing up to meets. I will also train hard every day to fight for the record of my college in 2027. There are my statistics listed below. FYI PR is applied for freshman record. Thanks for reading my interests and hopefully I am recruited into one of my desired schools.

400M Dash PR - 1:08          Goal for senior HS: 0:55

300IH PR - 0:56                  Goal for senior HS: 0:39
