I have competed in cross country, as well as track and field, since a young age and hope to continue throughout my collegiate career. I got my start when my PE teacher saw that I could do better than where I was at, and invited me to join the after-school running club. Starting in the fifth grade I began competing in club track, even winning All-American with my 4x800 relay team in 2015. Running has taught me patience and perseverance, as noticable results take time to perceive. As a freshman I ran varsity, and each year as the previous leaders left, I had to take on more responsibility with the team in a leadership role. As far as academics, I hope to take classes that have engaging teaching staff who will dive deep into the subject matter and take the time to answer any questions I may have.
