Personal Statement
I didn't start running early like many other recruits. I started when I entered high school and saw my older brother doing it. I was able to quickly adapt to this change in my life, going from running 10-minute miles, to sub 5 minute miles. What enabled me to do this? My pure will and motivation to become the best. From then on, running became my passion, my drive, my life.
I'm pretty good academically, maintaining a 3.5 GPA and earning Honor Roll multiple times. I do admit, most of my grades aren't a full representation of my true capabilities, but some subjects, such as math, tend to interest me more than others.
My dream is to one day make it to the Olympics and run the mile to the best of my abilities. I hope by getting recruited and competing in college, it will take me one step closer to my dream.
