Josh Wilson '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Josh Wilson and I am a 6’0” Senior from South Pasadena, CA. I am attending South Pasadena Senior High and beginning my 4th year of XC and 3rd year of Track at the varsity level. My personal records are 14:48:00 on a 3-mile course and 15:42 in a 5K (Clovis).

I also enjoy running track and field. My personal records are 1:57 (800 m), 4:12 (1500m), 4:25 (1600 m), 8:52 (3,000 m), 9:18(3200 m) and 15:39 (Ben Brown Invite, 5000 meters) For 2013, I ran in the CA State Indoor Championships in Fresno CA, 2 mile 9:56, 8th place. I received All Area First Team honors for XC/2012/2013 and Track/2013. I am the Rio Hondo League Champion for 2013 in Track for the 1600/3200 meters and XC2013.

I am looking for an institution that has academic programs in the field of engineering and has a competitive athletic environment, in that of XC and Track and Field, that allows me to pursue and succeed in my career. I am open to suggestions when examining large or small schools, just as well as I am open to expanding my search to out of state schools. I aspire to work harder my last 1 year of high school and to always give 110% in both Athletics and Academics. Motivation and work ethic are what set individuals apart, my goal is to pursue both my loves, running and engineering.
