The first time that I truly started running was in sixth grade when I joined my middle school's track team. I was one of the few long-distance athletes on the team, and I quickly developed a passion for the sport. I loved the thrill of improving, and working to see that time come down. Running has always been important to me because I was the only one to blame when I did poorly, and I knew that when I did well, that was also because of me. I've carried that idea with me into high school, and it's been the driving force in my running career so far.
I've been fortunate enough to be part of a great cross country and track team at Rangeview High School, with so many amazing teammates and coaches surrounding and supporting me. They're the reason why I get out of bed in the mornings for workouts: because I hope that I can push them, and that they'll push me. I'd like to be a part of a team with the same mentality, and I think that I would be valuable to your team because of this.
