My name is John Arnold and I attend a small 3A school in southwest Colorado in Bayfield. I have been vaulting for three years and can not wait for my final outdoor season to begin in March. I will also be doing indoor track this year for the first time, in which I will have to sign myself up for meets and drive a minimum of four hours to attend said meets. My dedication and passion for this sport is massive and I can't wait to see where it takes me.
After high school I plan on going to college and majoring in Pre-medicine and minoring in sports medicine and business. I am also currently working as hard as I can to train and get prepared for my final track season and preparing to vault in college. Since beginning pole vault as a freshman in 2011 it has become a major passion of mine. I've worked hard every year since and will make the most out of my senior year.
In the 2012 season I went to state ranked 11th in my division but no-heighted at state. In 2013 I went to state ranked 4th in the pole vault and finished 4th, my 4x1 team that I was a part of also got 8th at state.
After college I hope to work in a hospital and possibly coach pole vault and be an athletic trainer at a high school or college. I love working with people younger than I and being a great example and role model, as well as being the best leader I be.
