I believe that I would like to be a part of collegiate level track no matter what the level. In regards to being a good candidate, I am a very dedicated athlete and always put in the work needed to get something done to the best of my abilities. I will always go the extra mile to make sure that I complete a workout and always give it my all. Relating to what makes me different than other recruits, I have challenged myself by taking mostly rigorous AP classes throughout my Junior year that have kept me busy before and after track practice.
Before coming into the regular track season, I put months of extra training to make sure that I would be able to achieve my goals and previous personal bests. My sophomore year was the first time I decided to run Track and I have not regretted the decision. Track has been the best part of my school year and it has allowed me to connect with my peers and better myself as a person.
Therefore, what makes me different is that I dedicate myself to the things I wish to accomplish and make sure that they get done right. If I can run track in college, I will.
I will continue to strive for personal bests and hope to reduce my mile time significantly going into my senior year of high school.
