Running has been a major part of my life for the last 7 years and I'd like to continue running through college. My biggest goal with going to college is to solidify a good education and prepare myself for future employment. During that time, I do want to continue running. In order to keep my endurance going through the winter months, I used to ski with the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports club. During fall training, which involved dry land training (running), the coaches commented that my running style is smooth and effective.
I love competing in track and cross country and I've become a strong member of our basketball team since my Junior year. I have a natural ability when it comes to sports, but running is my passion. While training for track and cross country, I always give every effort and I try my hardest to get a quality workout that is going to further my time in my events. I like helping my teammates with improving their running styles and times as well. When in practice I want the most from that practice, so I try to give as much as I can to those workouts. My extra curricular activities haven't caused my grades to fall and in fact, I am in the high honor role list and have been since Freshman year.
