Personal Statement
Hi I’m Landon Lewicki an upcoming junior at Dover high school. Throughout my athletic years I have loved two sports, Baseball and running. When I’m running I feel free and genuine happiness. I would never give that up for anything in the world. So when I earned a Varsity spot for Both Track and Cross country teams, my freshman year I took that opportunity. My favorite quote that motivates me when I run is “If you aint first you’re last”. Running with my entire team and feeling loved and welcomed in a community of fellow competitors has been incredible. I’ve known ever since I put my first pair of running shoes on, that I wanted to go big with my running. I have helped my school win a state championship in indoor track, and I want to help impact the next level of my track running. I am a highly competitive Athlete and I work very hard to be the best I can be. I do not like losing in anything...even something as simple as ultimate frisbee. I train very hard year-round, as a team captain this year I’m trying to lead by example. I will put my all into every practice and push myself to be the best athlete I can be. I also take my academics very seriously and study very hard. Taking all honors and Ap courses helps me push my academics to the maximum. I strive to maintain a high GPA. I am in band, I volunteer at my church and at various places across the community. I want to make my family and community proud of my accomplishments and most of all the college that I go to. I will excel in your program and make my mark wherever I am.
