Fengju Chen '18 Recruiting Profile

    My name is Michael (Fengju) Chen, and I am currently a senior sprinter on the Community School of Naples track and field team in Naples, Florida. Growing up in China, I was not exposed to track and field until I came to the United States. This year was my first season of track and I placed 7th at the Florida High School 1A State Championships in the 100meter dash with a time of 11.12 seconds. I also ran the lead off leg of the 4x100 Relay team that placed 2nd at the Florida High School 1A State Championships with a time of 42.89 seconds. 

    I also have run 23.17 in the 200 meter dash at my district meet and have long jumped 5.98 meters. I started track this March and have only competed in one outdoor season of track. I believe I have potential as a sprinter, and I have fallen in love with this sport. I wish I could have started track sooner.
