William Livesay '20 Recruiting Profile

I am the oldest of five children.  This has enhanced the development of my leadership skills, my ability to respect authority, and has helped me to adapt to any situations of adversity.  Being a Patrol Leader in my Boy Scout Troop and a youth leader in church has allowed me to develop these skills as well.  I excel academically and am in Cambridge University's AICE Program at my school.  I grew up very active in sports, particularly in basketball for many years.  I came across running in an effort to better my fitness for basketball, however I enjoyed it so much that it became my passion, leading me to devote my abilities to it.  One of the highlights of my high school experiences so far was our visit to the FHSAA 4A State Championship where I led our team to our best finish in school history.  I feel that my teammates are a large reason why we are able to develop each specific strength in each aspect of a race and that they are part of the family that is the team.  I am able to use these experiences and mentalities to push myself as hard as possible on the classroom, course and track while enjoying it as well.
