Personal Statement
When I visualize El Guerrouj's mile record, I see a "door" where others see a wall.
My immediate goal is to pursue a medical career and become an Olympic runner. Is it easy to achieve? I believe not, but its not impossible and I am ready for the challenges ahead.
Since I discovered my passion for running, I have dedicated myself to practicing harder and harder. Practice, dedication and perseverance are my daily drives. Besides being a dedicated runner I am also a team player. Like my coach always says "A chain is only as strong as its weakest link". My passion goes beyond what most people are willing to do. Even though my days are filled with school activities, running practices, my two part time jobs and my children tutoring sessions, I always manage to find the time for a an extra run or two.
Academically speaking, I am amongst the top students at my school. I have achieved excellent scores which translates into one of the top ranks of the 2019 class. I believe a good student-athlete is a better runner when he compliments his running with his academic studies.
Self discipline is an important factor for my goal achievements and I am ready to face any obstacles on my way to success.
