Personal Statement
I started running spring of my Freshman year as a way to stay in shape for our Army JROTC Raider team (military cross fit). I had lettered as a Freshman and was looking to use distance running as a way to improve my Raider performances. During that first track season, I discovered my love of the sport and became determined to run at the collegiate level.
My most defining moment so far came in being the first runner across the finish line for Creekview High School in the GA 6A state cross country meet after being just the alternate runner the previous year and not getting to run at all.
I am a young runner with only a couple seasons under my belt and although I have shown notable improvement, I know I have a lot more to give. My goal is to pursue a degree in aerospace engineering from a top-rated engineering school with a track/cross country coach and running program that will push me to my peak performance level!
