In 2019, the highlight of my high school sports career was winning the region championship during my sophomore football season. We were the first team at our school to do so since 1969, and I've never had as much fun with a group of guys that I love than I did that season. But, in January of 2020, my 4x100 relay team added to that amazing experience by breaking the record that had been held for 50 years. Had COVID not cancelled our season, there is no telling how far we could have gone together.
I discovered my track potential after I ran the fastest 40 on my middle school football team. At first I was skeptical, but after my first meet, I fell in love. Not only did I find something that I was good at, but I discovered how I could use my knowledge, abilities and experiences to help my teammates. While breaking several track records, I found a competitive part of myself that I didn't know I had. I'm looking for a college where I can pursue my love for track, while also following my academic ambitions in business and law. I know I can compete on the track, and I want to do so at a college where I can be the best student athlete possible. I feel connection and great sense of comradery, with my high school 4x100 team and I hope to run for a college where I can continue experiencing that feeling.
