2020 HighlightsPersonal Statement
Hi there! My name is Jeff Luka and I am a Senior at York High School in Elmhurst, IL. I decided to run cross country my freshman year because it was no cut. There I learned to love the process and have stuck with it since. I was incredibly slow at the start, running 27:10 seconds for my first 3 mile race, but after working hard all season I saw my pr drop by 7 minutes. Eventually, I won the conference meet my sophomore year and came to the realization that I could be good enough to run collegiately. I am one of the hardest working athletes out there and am dedicated to working hard on and off the track. I plan to pursue a Major in Elementary education at whatever school I end up choosing.
