Personal Statement
Passion, leadership, and dedication. These are a few things that you'd be getting when having me on your team. After I complete my events at a track meet I cheer on my teammates and try to keep them hyped up knowing that the field events start and usually finish first. This gives me an opportunity to encourage my team to keep on pushing and win points. After coming back from a knee injury and then becoming top 5 discus throwers of all under class men in the state of Illinois, I know that it takes a lot of focus and determination to be one of the best and still make the grades to be on the team.
While attending college one of my goals is that I become a better student athlete and to learn more about how I can be a better thrower by taking in all the advice that I can get for your coaching staff. I am looking for a program that will believe in me and will also give me advice when I am doing something wrong. I believe that when picking a college, a player/coach relationship is vital to the success of your program and myself, therefore I would want to have a strong bond with your coaching staff.
