Sports have always been an important part of my life.  I have learned to persevere and to work hard as a result of my involvement with sports.  Things may not come easy, but with determination, success is possible.

My experience to date with throwing at the varsity level in track and field has been competing against athletes who are older and bigger than me.  I have had to put more time and effort into improving my technique to get ahead.  That has been the key to my success in throwing competitions.  This extra effort has made me a very consistent thrower throughout my high school career.  Regardless of the size of the meet, I am able to regularly make a competitive throw that puts me in contention to place. I am able to “keep my cool” under pressure and perform to the best of my capability.

I am looking for a program that would be a good fit for me as an athlete, as well as a student.  I have a desire to excel in both sports and academics.  My work ethic in both areas will make me a great part of your team.
