Personal Statement
My name is Luke Getz and I am getting ready to begin my senior year at Roanoke-Benson High School in Roanoke, IL. I decided to run cross country last fall for the first time when soccer season was moved to spring due to Covid and learned to love the sport. This experience influenced me to also run track in the spring for the first time in high school hooking me on running and driving me to want to continue running at a collegiate level. I am a hard working athlete that plays a sport year round and am dedicated to work hard on and off the track/course. I haven't made a decision on a major yet, but am excited to see where my future leads me.
