Thank you for viewing my profile, my name is Kevon Elzey and I am currently a senior at Round Lake Senior High School.
Throughout my early years of being a track athlete, it was noticeable by many that I did not have any natural talents, but the one thing that has not let me down was my work ethic and determination to improve. I started my freshmen year in junior varsity track with a triple jump of 33 feet, 2 inch and a long jump of 15 feet, 2inch. I continued to keep my tenacity for the following year of track and I was able to make the varsity team as a sophomore. Although I was able to make varsity, I was still not satisfied with myself; I knew I could become better so I continued to improve. My junior year of high school, I was able to become an All-Conference triple jumper/long jumper, All-County triple jumper, and All-Sectional triple jumper.
Many now would say that I am addicted to improvement, but that is exactly who I am. I want to continue my track career beyond high school and I want to push myself to the limit. Not only would I like to improve in terms of track, but in academics as well. Receiving a quality education and reaching my goals academically is also very important to me. I hope to accomplish all this in the near future and to become a role model for my community, proving that hard work can make hopes into a reality.
