My name is Charlie Montgomery, and I intend to become one of the greatest runners ever. I know that is a bold statement, but I am fully committed to achieving that because it is the goal. I believe it is achievable because I am a very hard working person and I will do what it takes. I am looking for a great university that will help me compete at the highest level, and I could study in kinesiology/ exercise science, or broadcasting. I am a great candidate for your team because not only am I a hard worker, I am a very coachable athlete, and I am all for team culture and camaraderie. I have learned to trust my coaches because they know what is best for me. Right before this cross country season, I broke my foot on a team trip doing a steeplechase, and through that I learned to trust the process and trust my coaches, and to work harder than ever and harder than others, and that is what I believe separates me from the rest. In school, I am in all honors and AP classes, and I was in band, and I am an anchor in the broadcasting program. I am invested with what I do, and running is my life, and I will do whatever it takes to be great.
