Michael Cornwall '16 Recruiting Profile

I have many goals set out to accomplish in college. I would like to study education or a different field and obtain a 4-year degree. While attending school, I would like to continue my track career. I value the importance of a strong education would love to continue my academic and athletic career at the collegiate level. I consider myself different because I am always the first to arrive at practice and the last one to leave. I also have interest in what my team is doing and not just my individual event. The sport of track fascinates me and much like in the classroom, you can't blame your mistakes on someone else, for it is individual competition. I also set myself apart from other recruits because I attend high school to further my education and play sports, I am not there just for the sports or because I have to be. I work hard in the classroom and maintain a GPA well above three. I work well by myself or in groups. I often get my work done early, but the quality is still good and not rushed. I don't usually wing it in the classroom and spend extra hours studying for tests and quizzes. If I run out of things to do in class, I often find something else to work on or help my peers.
