  • September 13, 2015 To Whom it May Concern, It is a privilege to write this letter on behalf of Reyer Howe. Reyer has been involved in working with me in our strength and conditioning program for just over 2 years and in the discus for one season. His work ethic and willingness to learn is why I wanted to help him prepare for his 2015 track and field season. Each day he would come into our facility and meet me 30-45 minutes prior to our strength training sessions to work on discus drills for the upcoming track season. Just by learning proper form through our drilling sessions; Reyer was able to transfer those drills into his full throws. He improved 20 ft. in the 2015 season just by drilling form work in the discus. Reyer trained very hard with me in the weight room initially for football and was very willing to be patient when learning or relearning technique skills in cleans, pulls, front and back squats, and explosive medicine ball throws. He maintained the same patience and work ethic when learning the skills needed to improve in the discus. Because of his willingness to learn and his ability to communicate with his peers he was able and willing to help me coach some of the lifts with our new athletes. Reyer is one of those athletes you want to work with because he comes into each session motivated to learn and wanting to train hard. I have coached many throwers at the high school and collegiate levels; and I believe that Reyer has the right attitude, work ethic, motivation, willingness to learn, and love for the sport to excel and be a great addition to any collegiate track and field program. I look forward to being involved in coaching Reyer through his high school career and seeing him grow in his athleticism and character as he prepares for college. Sincerely, Becky Levi Director of Spiece Sports Performance and Fitness CSCS, USATF, USAW, FMS, IYCA [email protected]
