Personal Statement

I started running local 5K races in elementary school, and once I joined the middle school cross country team I was hooked. Although I played competitive travel baseball during the spring and summers, it was running that provided me with a sense of accomplishment.  As I got older and the practices became more strenuous and the racing became more competitive, I recognized my ability and knew it was a sport I wanted to focus my energy on.

I will always strive for top grades. I currently hold a 4.09 weighted GPA. I am in the National Honor Society. Finding a school and athletic program that values both academics and high-level competition is important to me.

I want to be coached. I want to be pushed beyond what I think I am capable of. My personal mantra is Be comfortable Being uncomfortable. I know there will be adversity. It will come at any time. If I learn how to respond when times are not perfect, then I will excel when others may not.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
