Personal Statement

My name is Frank Baracani-Thomas. I am currently a Junior at South Knox High School. I am 6'1 and i weigh 155lbs.  I am a very coachable athelete with a desire to constantly push myself and get better at everything I do. i have goals to strive for in not only sports, but in the classroom as well.  I always have the desire to win, no matter how hard I must push myslef in order to acheive that victory.  I also have the urge to try and better those around me, by constanty giving encouragement to all, and always showing good leadership skills. My biggest personal acheivement so far, is when during this cross country season I was given all confrence honors, when I was 23 places away from being given those honors before.  I have received the "most improved" award three in my running career.  This past cross country season I broke my past career record in the second meet of the season, and the time continued to drop from there.  This was possible because of the work ethic that has been instilled in me by my parents and my great coaching staff.  I am looking for a medium/small Division II or Division III NCAA college with a pre-medical or biology program.  I am also looking for a school that has a good cross country program, as well as a track and field program where I can continue to grow and compete in the sport that I love, and that I have such a great passion for.  A great goal for me would to be able to run in the top seven as a freshman on one of these cross country teams.  I feel that I could make a great addition to a DII or DIII college team.  I was always told that I would never be able to compete at a college level when I began my career, and that has helped to give me the drive to strive to acheive my goal of becoming an NCAA cross country and track.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
