Personal Statement
My interest in sports started with T-ball when I was four. I grew up spending my summers on the field and winters in the gym. The life lessons I learned from being on a team were countless but the most important were: working as a team, dealing with pressure, a good work ethic, learning to lose gracefully and win as a good sport and a good human.
I ran track successfully in middle school but ultimately, went back to baseball when I began high school. After a incredibly hard decision, I decided to join the track team this year (junior) for my high school team.
At my first meet, I was able to set a new record for my high school in the 100m. Soon after, I set a new record in the 200m at an invitation only Sprinters Showcase. I now have the fastest times in my schools history in the 100 & 200m.
All that I have learned translates into my studies. I will work hard for my goals. My intention is to compete athletically at the college level while attaining a great education.
