I am a middle-distance runner who runs the 1500m, the 3000m and 5000m, Steeplechase, and cross-country distances. I have enjoyed a few Mile competitions over the last two years. I live in Mackay, Queensland, Australia; my current school is Holy Spirit College in the suburb of Mount Pleasant. We don’t operate under the GPA system. I have attached my latest report card for reference.
I have been running since I was 12 years old. Over the last 18 months to two years, I have, with hard work, become one of the best runners in my region, my state of Queensland, and Australia in each of my events. I have learned that nothing in life is easy, and I appreciate the journey I find myself on.
My academic goals for high school are to graduate and to secure a scholarship to attend college in the United States. I am interested in Sports Science/ Exercise Physiology. I am looking forward to the adventure of studying abroad and racing against other like-minded athletes.
As I live regionally the obstacles, I have had to overcome a great deal of travel throughout each year to attend competitions to race against the best. Any time I have had an injury I have had to readjust my goals to continue to achieve the results needed.
Recently I have moved into the U20's age group. This has seen me compete in the 5000m. For my first 5000m met, I ran 15:36.22 at the Sally Pearson's Shield at QSAC on the 8th of February 2025. My second event on the 22nd of February saw me achieving 2nd place at the Canberra Athletics State Championships just outside my PB.
On the 14th of April 2025, at the Australian Athletics National Championships, I finally achieved a time for the 1500m under 4 minutes and a PB of 4 seconds where my time was 3:59.16. I now head into Cross Country season, and I am looking forward to what more I can achieve this year.
