Personal Statement
At the age of 12, I was recruited to join an athletic club in Bahir Dar called ‘Yegna’ sports club while learning at SOS Hermann Gmeiner Primary School (2015-17).
I had continuously been nominated for my school athletics club in track and field competitions held between schools in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia (2015-2017).
Participated in sport festivals organized by SOS Children’s Village Ethiopia representing Bahir Dar . From numerous people, I had managed to win a silver medal in marathon (8km), Jemma, Ethiopia (2017).
In 2018 I was nominated for the IGCSE center to run in 1500 and 800 meters races, hence I won gold and silver medals respectively. (Sports competition between high schools in Hawassa)
- International Schools Sports Association Games (ISSAG). In this competition, over 16 international schools and colleges in Ghana participate annually. During these activities, I won three gold medals, (1500m, 800m, and 4x400m). This by far makes me the best male athlete in the tournament.
- Inter-hostel competitions, I won two gold medals in 5000 meters and 1500 meters.
- I played Field Hockey, football and Handball for the school team.
- I achieved a GPA of 3.9 from the Ethiopian National Education Assessment and Examinations Agency (NEAEA) with a grade 10 result.
- I completed IGCSE with A’s and B’s on my extended level subjects.
- I achieved 39 points of IB diploma final middle year result.
