Personal Statement
Hello my name is Riley, my goals are to make it threw college with a medical degree. But I didn’t save money from way or we don’t have that much to pay for college. This is where my sports have come on in 8th grade I broke our middle school record of 5’8” now it is 5’10”. Going into high school I had trouble with high jump because they don’t keep the mat out during off season so my training is limited. During hurdles I was the fastest shuttle hurdler and high hurdler beating the seniors and everyone else. I tried 400 meter hurdles and I ran a 1 flat for a freshman. During his summer I have been waking up at 9 am workout for 2 hours on the field or track, then a couple hours later I go back and train until 6 pm then I go to the gym for an hour then finish the day with one more time at the track until it’s too dark to see. I have worked harder than anyone in my school I have always improved my times for track, I was varsity right off the bat during freshman year of track, unfortunately I had ankle injuries so high jump was a struggle at first. But I have been working a lot with my ankles just so that wouldn’t happen again. I am more than average and if I get a scholarship to go anywhere I will be more than willingly to try and exceed my limits and push my self more than what I’m pushing my self now. Before junior year track season was cancelled, we had one practice of high jump. First jump, and I jumped 6’6”. My goal is to win and motivate others.
