Personal Statement

Balancing academics and athletics are a priority in my life and I'll want a college that can meet both of my needs. I would like a college that has degrees in Engineering and/or Business. In addition, I'd like to go to a Division 1 school where I can reach my potential and compete with some of the Nation's best athletes. 

But most importantly, I would want to be a part of a team with coaches and teammates that always want to better themselves and each other. I'm never satisfied unless I see improvements in my workouts and performances. My coaches continue to ask more from me, and I continue to try to make big and small changes. 

I'm a leader who is a great communicator with a high attention to detail that is coachable and self-motivated to become the best technician in all my events. I hold a constant 4.0 GPA while being a 3 sport athlete (track and field, basketball and football). I know I will fit in with any team environment and will work my absolute hardest to become the best student athlete I've always known I could be.

Finished 29th in the discus with a throw of 120-8 and 33rd in the shot put with a throw of 41-5 at the AAU Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships in Greensboro, NC. Won the AAU Iowa State Meet Discus (118-1) and shot put (38-3) titles. Won the USATF Iowa State Meet Discus (114-11), Shot Put (37-0.50) and Hammer (99-10) titles. State Games of America 3rd place finisher in the discus (130-9) and 5th place finisher in the shot put (40-11.75) held at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.

  • Notes: Crowned National Champion for the 3rd time in a row in the discus (164-2) at the 2021 AAU Junior Olympic National Championships in Humble, TX and back to back National Champion in the discus (171-6) at the 2021 USATF Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships in Jacksonville, FL. Currently a 6 time AAU/USATF National Champion (5 discus, 1 shot put) and 14 time AAU/USATF All-American (8 shot put, 6 discus). Undefeated in the discus all season long and only lost twice in the shot put, both times at the National Championships for AAU and USATF. Won the AAU Region 14 discus (159-8) and shot put (41-11) titles. Won the AAU Iowa State Meet discus (147-9) and shot put (42-4) titles. Won the USATF Region 8 discus (141-0) and shot put (44-7) titles. Won the USATF Iowa State Meet Discus (151-11) and shot put (40-3.50) titles. Finished the 2021 season ranked #1 in the country for 14 year olds in the discus and had the top 3 discus throws overall.

  • Notes: National Champion in the discus (140 feet 7 inches) and 3rd place in the shot put (40 feet 0.50 inches) at the AAU Junior Olympic National Championships in Satellite Beach, FL. The AAU Discus National Title was the second in a row. Added 2 AAU All-American honors. Now a 4 time AAU/USATF National Champion (3 discus, 1 shot put) and 11 time AAU/USATF All-American (7 shot put, 4 discus). Finished the 2020 season ranked #1 in the country for 13 year olds in the discus and had the top 2 discus throws overall.
