Hello Coach, my name is Kaleb Sahlie and I am currently a senior at Airline High School in Bossier City, LA. I was born in Ethiopia but I have lived in Louisiana for the majority of my life. I was never interested in the sport of running until I started my freshmen year (all thanks to my present coach, Mark Hamiter,) and had an abundant amount of success which made the decision for me to quit playing basketball extremely evident. Now, running is a part of who I am.
What makes me different from my competitors is the determination and will that I have to never give up. From the classroom, to the track and cross country field, I will always keep fighting. Whether it is studying hours to make a good grade on a test, or running alongside the nations best in a race just to help my team achieve success, I will never give up. My parents have firmly instilled passion in anything and everything that I do which allows me to keep fighting and for that, I am forever thankful.
With my determination, will, and passion for the sport of running, I know I could be a great asset to your team.
Thank you for taking your time to view my profile; I greatly appreciate it.
Sincerely,
Kaleb Sahlie
