Personal Statement

My goal is to be a Division 1 pole vaulter, and win NCAA Championships. I have been vaulting for 4 years and have been training almost daily to achieve my goal. This season, I achieved a personal best jump of 15'8" at the Reno National Indoor Pole Vault Summit. I am looking forward to this outdoor season. Thus far, I have achieved a PR of 16'3".  Nothing is more rewarding than seeing my hard work pay off. 

Long term, I would like to practice business law or possibly mechanical engineering. This past year I earned a 3.91 GPA in Honors and AP classes. In addition, I am a member of the 4H Club,  National Honors Society,  English Honors Society,  Life Teen Catholic Youth Group, and a member of the bass fishing team.  With my strong sense of faith and support of my family, I feel I can achieve both my personal and team goals.
