Hello,
I am in the class of 2022 at St. Louis Catholic High School in Lake Charles, La. I started at SLC as the only Freshman on the Varsity Track team. I worked hard prior to and during my freshman year, and was able to secure a spot on the 4x400m relay by beating out several upper classmen for the position. That year I was asked by my Coach to try an 800m, and discovered that I have a talent for that distance as well. I have been working hard to lower my time ever since. I now compete in the open 800m, & 400m, as well as the 4x800 & 4x400m relays, and occasionally a 4x200m relay. I have a strong work ethic both in season and off season. I am a member of AAU and USATF, and I compete with club track in the summers. I have qualified and competed at the State level, and also at the AAU Jr Olympic games. Due to Covid-19 our 2020 season was canceled after our 1st outdoor meet. I continued training throughout the summer and entered a few "virtual meets" to stay in shape. I am also on the Varsity Soccer team and I play the Fwd & Wing positions. In 2021 I came into the outdoor track season late due to a broken metatarsal during soccer season. I worked hard to stay in shape and get on the track, and ended the outdoor track season as District Champion in 800m & 4x800m, runner up in 4x400, as well as overall District Champions with my team. I'm also Regional champion in 4x800 & 4x400, and qualified for State in both. At the state meet at LSU I was able to move my 4x800 team from 5th place to first as the 3rd leg. (see video) My 4x400 team also met the podium with a 3rd place finish while breaking our school record. I plan to Major in Physical Therapy (DPT) in college. I feel that PT has helped me get back to my sports and stay strong during recovery from injuries in the past and I would like to help other athletes do the same. I enjoy setting new goals for myself and working hard to achieve them. I look forward to running at the college level, and I am always up for a challenge.
