Zachary Delker '15 Recruiting Profile

I would like to throw shot put and discus at the next level.

My track career started my Freshman year as an off season training aid for football.  I won the JV Track MVP award as a Freshman thrower.  My sophomore year I competed at the Varsity level and finished 5th in the Regional 4A North championship in the discus.  My junior season I competed at the Varsity level and finished 12th in the 4A State championship in discus and 13th in the 4A Sate championship for shot put.  I also received the Varsity Unsung Hero award.  Since the State Championship I have been training hard and working with my private throwing Coach, Nick Agoris.  In less than 8 weeks, my PRs have increased almost 10' in the shot and 13' in the discus (Current PRs 53' Shot and 136' Discus).

For my upcoming Senior track season I fully expect to medal in both the shot put and discus at the State Championship.  As well as breaking the all time Catonsville High School records in each event.

Most importantly, I earned the following academic accolades during my athletic seasons.  During every school year and athletic season I have been selected to the All Academic team for that sport.  I also obtained perfect attendance for this past Junior year.

As you can see, I am a very determined, goal oriented, hard worker.  I am very coachable and a quick learner.  I am still learning and improving my skills in both the shot put and discus as seen in the rapid improvements in my current PRs.
