Personal Statement
My name is Khalid Hornsby. I’m currently 17 years old, and I run track competitively for Eleanor Roosevelt Highschool. My sophomore year of high school, I became a Regional Champion of the 100 meter dash and won with the time of 10.97 in the finals. The State Championship followed regionals, and I won my heat with a PR time of 10.84. As the only sophomore competing in my event, I pushed myself and finished 5th place overall in the finals. I ran a PR of 10.84 for the 100 meter dash and 22.04 for the 200 meter dash which was a phenomenal way to conclude my sophomore season during summer track.My Junior indoor season I ran a 6.48 for the 55 meter dash and finished 4th overall at the state championship.
I highly intend on running my own business in Graphic and Designing or Sports management and attending a well rounded college would be the foundation for all of my my goals and aspirations. I have worked extremely hard to get to where I am currently at, and I know the skies the limit.
