Personal Statement
Hello, My name is Kal Aylward, I will be entering my senior year come this fall at East Bridgewater JR/SR HS in Massachusetts. I have been in the track program at EB since 8th grade. My main events are the Triple Jump and Long jump but I also run the 400m and 600m and have been part of the school record setting 4x400m team for past 2 years. I am most proud of jumping 42' 2.25" in triple jump my sophomore year. My goal is to beat the school record in triple jump of 44ft10.5 inches this year. I will be working hard to increase my gpa this year and hopefully recover some lost jumping time once the covid pandemic clears and it is safe to resume sports again. As a Senior Captain for the Winter and Spring Track teams I plan on doing all that I can to better myself and help those on my team, in my school and community as we work to have some normalcy back in our lives. My future goals are to continue to jump in college, keep increasing my personal bests, contribute to my teams success and receive a top notch education!
