I hope to attend a D3 school where I can continue to run and be on a team but also keep in mind that my main focus is my education. A unique experience for me has been that I've basically had to coach myself for the past two years in track and cross country. My school has not had a very strong distance team, and it has been up to me to create my own workouts and practice schedule to achieve my goals. We do not have a track distance coach, so it is my job to create the workouts and schedule for the whole distance team as well. I think that this experience has helped me to become a strong leader and team member, and even has helped me learn a little about myself. In college athletics, I look forward to being on a team that shares my goal to succeed and I especially look forward to working with coaches.
I plan to study engineering in college, specifically mechanical or maybe civil engineering.
My main sports goals are to improve my 1000 meter time and continue to improve my 5k time.
