Personal Statement
From the moment I stepped on a track my freshman year of high school, I instantly new that it was where I belonged. Growing up I had always been quick, and was able to use this to my advantage in the other sports I played. However, until high school, I was never able to participate in a sport where it was completely about using your speed.
Track has become very important to me, and I have developed a continuously growing love for the sport that I never thought I would ever have. Aside from competing, the overall atmosphere track offers is tremendous. The amount of new people I have met from just being part of a team have led to the development of countless friendships. I love being around both my coaches and teammates everyday and having them there at practice to push me harder and bring out the best in me.
To be able to compete at the next level after high school is a very big goal of mine that I am willing to work to any extent to achieve. The opportunity to participate in college athletics is such an amazing experience that I would love as a part of any program. I am a very positive person who looks to find the best in everyone, and I would be excited to meet new teammates and coaches after high school. I'm very coachable, versatile, and hard working, and I think that if I were given the opportunity to compete in college I would do everything in my power to work as hard as I can to make it the best experience for not only myself, but others around me as well.
