Personal Statement
I have long sense aspired to play sports in College. It has been one of my childhood dreams. Ever since I picked up a shot put freshman year, I have been increasingly interested in making track my main sport. Before high school, I went to a smaller charter school where track was not available. I participated in soccer, basketball, and cross country there. I also played club baseball until 7th grade.
Up to my junior year, basketball has been my main sport, as I made varsity as a sophomore. But after returning to winter track I have now realized that track is my love. I am fully dedicated towards my team and I will do anything to continue to win in conference and regional meets. With the help of past and present throwers, and a great coach, I feel I can continue to the next level.
I have prepared myself grade wise relatively well for my push for college. I intend on continuing that until my completion of the Kenowa Hills curriculum. I will do everything I can to make it at a college level. But the journey does not end there; I want to excel in college. I am looking diligently for the college that will help me achieve that in both education and Competition.
I believe that I offer a high work effort to a team. I do my very best to be the best student-athlete I can be. I work religiously in the weight room despite my year-round seasons to better my body. I keep a good attitude even during hard times. I have a wide frame and a tall stature which has positive upside. Above all, I want to go to a college that I can stand behind. I love throwing and I hope to continue my career into collegiate play.
