My love for running began in 7th grade at Frost Middle School when I decided to join the track team. Since then I haven't looked back. At the time, I didn’t know that running would take me to the places it has. Through running I have learned time management and leadership skills, how to be the best teammate I could be, and how to build a positive coach-athlete relationship.
When I was younger I played soccer and was a member of the local unicycle club. I was also an active member of our district's FIRST Robotics Team for five years. All while maintaining above a 4.0 cumulative GPA that was made up of numerous advanced and AP classes. I am a member of the Spanish National Honor Society and will be a five-year Spanish student as of my senior year.
My goal is to attend a college that offers a degree in engineering and would allow me to continue running at the collegiate level on a team with a positive atmosphere.
