Maxwell Hosmer '21 Recruiting Profile

Sports have always been apart of my life since my early childhood. I grew up playing baseball until I found a huge love for running. And when high school came, I knew I wasn't going to just let it slide. I was going to train as hard as I can. Nothing was going to ruin my motivation and determination for becoming a better athlete. Being a college athlete has been a dream of mine since the freshmen track season.  In the social part of college athletics, I have always been a leader. But that didn't mean being the best on the team. It means having the most determination and motivation and treating every athlete and coach with the most respect. In academics, I'm not a straight-A student. But I am extremely hardworking and no matter how far in life running gets me in college, education will always come first. And to one day have a career in the criminal justice field. My goals for college athletics are still up in the air. But being able to go sub 4:25 in the mile would be insane. Breaking 10:00 in the 3200m is also a goal. I know I have the strength to achieve it with good training. I'm grateful for all the opportunities in life running has given me and I can't wait to see what it brings me in the future.
