I do not focus all of my time in my sport as I have always been very academically motivated, but running has been my past time since probably 5th grade. I have never been interested in sitting inside playing video games. When I get bored I enjoy going outside and running or occasionally playing piano if it's not the best weather, but that doesn't stop me from going to the gym, then, and getting a run in on the treadmill or at least some type of workout. As pointed out by many teammates and coaches, I actually enjoy distance running which, even for members of my cross country team, would be a stretch of the truth for many. Many people run solely to "stay healthy" or to "stay in shape," but I actually love doing it because it is just the best stress relief method of which I can think. Almost every time I go out for a run, I get a big thrill from it even if I am not the best at it, I enjoy doing it with the people I like.
