I hope to have the opportunity to become a student athlete in college. My academic goals for high school are to finish with a solid GPA and find a college that fits me best academically and athletically. I have loved running since elementary school and when I started track in 7th grade, I knew I would love this sport. Both the team and individual aspects of the sport appeal to me and all efforts, both mine and the team, factor into our success as team. After placing at regionals during my sophomore year, I really focused on track, both running and strength training, with a goal of becoming a solid sprinter capable of running at the college level. I learned that through commitment to the sport, I could excel. My junior season, my hard work showed and I qualified for state in 4 events. During my senior year, my focus will continue to be the best athlete, student, and person I can be. I am confident that I not only have the talent to compete on a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to have a positive impact on your program.
