Personal Statement
COME SEE ME AT THE USATF JUNIOR OLYMPICS IN JACKSONVILLE, FL!
I'm a hard worker, great teammate, determined, and highly competative. I strive to be the best at everything I attempt whether in the classroom or on the track. My goal is to get better every day. This year was tough for me because my school did not have a hurdles coach. I spent the season training myself and earned 3rd place in the state championship in the 110mHH and 2nd place in the 300mH. This summer I'll spend a month in Hattiesburg training with a hurdles coach despite having nowhere to lodge.
I am a God fearing young man who is focused and goal driven. As both a mentor and mentee I have experience in working with and supporting a variety of people. I'm easy going and take direction and criticism as an opportunity to learn and grow. My past coaches have all described me as "coachable." I want to become a great hurdler and would like to continue to improve my skills on the roster of a college track team.
