I am 6’ 3” 175 lbs and I'm currently using an Altius 14'9" 190 lbs holding at 14'5". I’ve been Pole Vaulting for 5 years as of the end of my Junior Year. My PR and High School Record as of 2/16/2013 is 15’ 6”. My meet performances can be found on Mo.milesplit profile page and a graph showing my yearly progression trend located at http://mo.milesplit.com/athletes/535515-zach-reed . I also have my 15'3" vault at Mizzou at the following URL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzdoyFzwbdU. Some might think I have stretch goals but I can see I still have technique to fix. With some changes I have some big heights ahead of me. I’m working as hard as I can to be State Champion. 3A State Champion will take a vault greater than 15’ 0”. I strive to be the first and last on the field while still keeping my academics in sight. I always give 110%. When I finish practicing at school, my dad and I head to the back yard and pole vault even more. My desire is to Teach History and Coach. While teaching, I would love to be a coach in the sport I love: Pole Vault. I want to exceed in both my academic and athletic pursuits. I’ve been very lucky to have great mentors and coaches. The three Coaches I want to thank the most are: Rick Attig at Blue Valley North in Kansas City, Dr. Rademaker in Jackson, MO High School and Coach of Southeast Missouri State University. Coach Morry Sanders of the Arkansas Vault Club. They have played a great influence on my vaulting career. Pole Vaulters that I like to watch video of...Jeff Hartwig, Mark Hollis and Andrew Irwin of Arkansas.
